If you are functionally disabled and are not able to care for your daily personal needs you may be entitled to Personal Assistance.
Personal Assistance means you will have your own personal assistants who will be helping you throughout the day, or during parts of the day, with the care and needs that you require. The aim of the Humana Assistance is to give you the opportunity to choose how you want to live your life and let you plan your assistance based on your personal needs and requirements.
Humana is a privately owned organisation which has grown steadily since its start over 10 years ago. We contribute much of our growth to our clients who have kept on recommending us to their friends and peers throughout the years. As we have now grown to become the largest private organisation in this field, we also believe our size will provide additional trust and security.
Personal Assistance is an aid that is granted either by the Municipality (Kommunen) or by the Insurance Board (Försäkringskassan). The expenses for having assistants in your home, and other costs linked to them, will be paid for by this remuneration, hence there will be no personal costs for you.
At times, it may feel reassuring to have someone help and assist you when dealing with the different authorities. If you would like to, we will help you every step of the way; from making the first application to putting together a well planned assistance all in accordance with your personal wishes and requirements.
We have a separate legal department with lawyers who exclusively work with assisting our clients, trying to ensure they receive correct rulings based on their personal needs.
Since we started, Humana has had a large number of clients with foreign backgrounds. Today, that has resulted in us being able to provide assistance in approximately 10 different languages. Therefore, you will most likely be able to get a contact person who speaks your language.
